I had hoped for a quiet day today after the past few days being so busy, I got online to find about 70 emails awaiting replies so have answered most of them and got dinner ready, done dishes and put a load of washing on, now is time for a cuppa and a rest, hopefully I can get a poppa nap after lunch, I feel I need a little snooze for an hour already..

It looks like this old mans stopping home today, it's a cool day here and looking like it could rain later, a friend has given me a job to do which should take 2 or 3 days to get done, so all good seeing it's online, I won't get time to get bored for a few days, especially as it needed doing last week, lol..

It's a day at home for this old fella today seeing the weathers not to good today, at least I should get the job for a friend finished, I've got about 6 films I want to download too, so will try to get them in on one of the laptops while I use the desktop, that way there's hopefully less lag.. Just waiting for the washing to finish so I can get it dried, then my chores are over for the day..

Well, got the job done for a friend about 11.30 p.m. last night, I've just got to attach it to an email and send it back.. The movies I wanted are still downloading, think I picked the wrong ones as they're really slow downloading, there was at least a dozen of each film I wanted, I got the slow ones by mistake, next time I'll check them and see how many seeds they have and how many other people are downloading them, some folk put a cap on the speeds people can get a film off them too, if that's set low at say 5 Mbps then there's not much we can do but wait, luckily for me I wasn't in a hurry for any of them seeing there was a few films on TV last night..

Now the dishes and washing are done and dinner is cooking it's a lazy day here seeing it's sunday, I did think of getting to church, but the only times I've been there is for funerals, there's been far to many of them in recent years, that's put me off church a little, if I went for a sunday service the minister may just about die of shock seeing I haven't been to service in years.. It's a nice sunny day here and winters not far away now, so it's nice to make the most of what few nice days we have left before it's to cold to go out except for the essential things like shopping..

Another week has started and I seem to have mondayitis again this morning, I was a bit slow getting started for the morning, at least dinners ready and a few chores are done along with about 20 emails answered, having a coffee and a rest now, hopefully a poppa nap after lunch seeing there's nothing urgent to be done now..

Well, I ended up getting a taxi to go out for the shopping a while ago, it was wet enough and cool enough to justify it, at least I get half price taxi fares which makes paying a little easier on the pocket, that's got that job done for anoher week so it's rest and coffee time now things are put away and the few chores I had are done.. This computers updated for another month, so time to update my Windows 10 laptop, sadly Microsoft stopped support for Windows 7 so I'm thinking of upgrading the Windows 7 laptop to Windows 8.1, if it keeps working oay for a few months I may hold off upgrading it until it causes a few problems, then upgrade, no doub there will be masses of updates if and when I upgrade, so I'm a biy reluctant to do it at present..

I've got another stuffed up morning, I was supposed to go out at 8.45 a.m. but folk keep stopping me from getting out, I may wait until lunch time and sneak out wile everyones inside eating lunch..

Well, it was amazing to see the precautions in place this morning after we got raised to level 3 for the Covid 19, the staff in the chemist were all masked up as were a lot of folk in the supermarket when I got the shopping, all essential services are limiting the amount of people in the shops at any one time so I'm a lot later getting home than usual, it was reassurng to see businesses being responsible even though it's a cold morning here..

Still glad I was out reasonably early for my shopping yesterday, with the innevitable rise to Level 4 tonight everyone has been out shopping and buying as much as they can, I was at the shops at 8.30 a.m. yesterday and their huge carpark was almost full of cars, it seems monday was even busier in all the supermarkets here, I suspect today may be chaotic too.. Even once level 4 kicks in at midnight tonight all essential services will be working so this old fella will be shopping as usual rather than heading round al the supermarkets trying to bulk buy.. The school holidays will be starting early with level 4 coming in tonight so there may well be a lot of stressed parents around by the weekend with everyone here being told to stay home or work from home if possible..

Seeing we're officially on level 4 now this old fella will be staying home more now, my doctor kindly reminded me I was a high risk patient last friday morning so I guess avoiding conract with others as much as is reasonably possible is a good idea, I'm not sure how the healthy folk will cope with being home as much as possible, I suspect a lot will be stir crazy by the end of the weekend, especially with all the clubs and bars being closed now, it's essential services only here now, I don't mind being home for a wee at a time and only going out for shopping, no doub a lot of folk will want the cafes and restaurants or clubs and bars on the weekend though..

It seems now we're on level 4 for the Covid 19 the weathers improved, no ones allowed out except for essential things, that means shopping or a visit to the chemist for medication and a bit of fuel for the car, I was thinking it'd be good to get over to our local park for an hour and feed the ducks while enjoying the nice sunny day here, knowing my luck I'd be collared by the police who now have extra powers and given a fine, so unfortunately the ducks will have to wait, I can keep the bread crusts in the freezer for a while.. How good/bad are things in your area with the Covid 19 at present? I hope everyone's managing okay..

It's only saturday and we've only been on level 4 lockdown since midnight wednesday and there's already youngsters getting out in big groups for no reason, my help sad she saw several cars with 4 or 5 teenages in each car on the way to see me, the rules are we only go out for essential things like shopping or picking up any medications, and travel alone to do that, not in groups, it looks like the bulletproof kids will spoil things for those of us using our common sense.. We have been told we can go for a walk, but we should stay in our own neighbourhood to do so, and walk on our own, if we meet folk on the way we should keep a 2 metre gap between us as much as is possible.. Luvkily the police now have some pretty heavy handed punishments they can hand out, it's a pity these dumb teens are making things worse for the rest of us though. I hope at least some get caught and put in police cells for a day or two, that way they may just grow up a little and start thinking of others a little more..

It's sunday and we've been in lockdown since wednesday night, my street is normally quite busy traffic wise, it seems strange sitting here and not hearing any traffic for an hour or more at a time, when the odd car does go past they seem really noisy mow, it has me wondering how we'll cope once things get back to some kind of normality again, we'll likely need time to get used to the cars and buses passing again..

We're on day 5 of our lockdown now and a lot of teens were caught out cruising in their cars full of friends over the weekend, it's like the cocid 19 is a big joke to them seeing they're bulletproof, the police here have some pretty heavy handed punishments for folk like that fortunately, I hope they use them too..

I can't say it was fun shopping this morning, the supermarkets are limiting the amount of folk instore at any one time, so long qeues outside waiting to get in, seemed people were being pretty patient and keeping the 2 metre distance between them and others which was good to see..

Well, we're still on level 4 for the Covid 19, there's mo indication of when it'll be lifted of course, while most people are being pretty good ay present, the longer it lasts the more peoples patience will wear because of all the delays and such, I know I found shopping more than a little trying yesterday, but then I'm not a patient person at my age.. I'm home to stay until next tuesday seeing I'm a high risk person, luckily I don't have to go out, a nit of a walk would be nice, but given the weather at present it won't be missed today..

It seems strange not having planes pass over during the day here, I never really noticed them while they were flying, but now they aren't it seems really quiet, especially as there's very little traffic passing by, after a week of few planes I'm finding it strange not hearing them, hopefully we aren't on level 4 to long and life can start gettubg back to normal soon..

IF there's an upside to having the Covid 18 it is the fact the days are a little less hectic at present, I was getting out a bit to do a couple of voluntary jobs, but being on level 4 means they're not working at present, some of the jobs I was doing for friends has pretty much dried up for now too, that's left me more time to get through the long list of chores I have be they on or offline, that list is now dropping quite nicely even though for every 2 things I tick off one more gets added to the list.. I'll still be quite happy when level 4 is finally lifted, staying home every day except shopping day is a bit boring, I was going a little stir crazy when I went out for shopping on tuesday and I'd only been home for a week, I feel for the kids at present, they'll all be wanting to do things like go play with their friends or go to the parks or such and being told they can't the really young ones must be finding it hard to understand why they can't..

I'm just waiting for a load of towels to finish washing then once yhey're on the line that's my chores for the day done, I'm being lazy and having a meal I froze earlier in the week, so no cooking for a change..
