The Hobbit's homes. - Sandy - 08-26-2019 They were all built as part of the film set, I think they're all in Matamata where filming of the Hobbiton scenes took place.. Matamata is a suburb, kind of, of Auckland and now sees a lot of tourists wanting to see homes like Bilbo and Frodo's.. I'll find out more for you when I can..
