I've been on youtube a bit lately watching some of my old favourite songs anf music, you know th type, the ones that bring bac a few memories either good or bad, a lot of my favourite songs are from the 70's while the music is usuallu ckassicak, I like listening once in a while and thinking of easier times, or happy times when lide was a little easier and not so rushed.. It got me wondering what other folks favourite sings or music is, or was and why.. I'd kove to hear about your favourites and why you like them so much.. :_

  Trump and Covid 19.
Posted by: Sandy - 08-29-2020, 10:21 AM - Forum: Debates. - No Replies

I heard last night there'd been some 180,000 deatgs from Covid in the US to date, with the President appearing to do little to try and keep the number of deaths, and new cases down it makes me wonder why he hasm't been charged over those peopkes deaths, surely ir's his responsibility to set rules and such for public safety and ensure as few people as possible either get sick or die from Covid, from what news we've had here to date Trump seems to have done very lottle to protect the people he was voyed in to serve and protect, IMHO there should be some accountability on his part, and some case to answer seeing he's failed to set rules and such to protect the people he's there to serve and protect..

IMO his lack of axyion should lead to charges of genocide, by mot doing anuyjing he has effectively killed those 180,000 peope, a lot of those died needlessly because of his inaction, while we hope there;d be no deaths from Covid, I think a few were inevitable umfortunately, but the nunber of people who have died to date is IMO unnacceptable..

Was the Covid 19 pandemic preventable?
Posted by: Sandy - 08-23-2020, 10:40 AM - Forum: Debates. - Replies (1)

The rumour mill has been running  well since Covid  went worldwide, one rue rumour was that China started it on purpose, Trumps tarrifs on China were blamed in the rumour we got here.. IMHO social media can accept some responsibility fr many of the rumours now doing the eounds, [eop;e love giving their thoughts onlune and making them sound plausible, I do wonder if the Chinse government would deliberately infect and kull thousands of their own people, and risk something becoming a pandemic, I believe there's now over 1.5 million people worldwide have died fron Covid, there's been over 160,000 deaths in America alone due in a larhe part to the governments inaction this far..

I wonder if Covid will be stopped, it'd be good o think  that both a vaccine and a cure will be found soon, there's not been anything to date, if a vaccine and/or cure aren't found soon the world coyld IMO risk bankruptcy in most countries as no one will be able to trade to pay off their increasing debts..

What's your thoughs, do you think Covid will be stopped siin, if so wgy, if notm why not?

  Being born in international waters.
Posted by: Sandy - 08-22-2020, 10:20 AM - Forum: General Korero. - No Replies

My mum bless her was pregnant with me when she left Britain many moons ago, while I was born here in NZ I have often wondered what nationality I'd have been gad I been born in international waters.. The answer according tp Google is that had I been borb in international waters, or air space I would's taken my mothers nationality, in my vase British.. That would no doubt mean my parents needibf to get NZ citizenship for me on arrival here. I'm left wondering if my mother woyld've left me with dual citizenship or not, I rather hope she would've, I'll never know for sure as she's no longer with us.. Apparently O was close to being born on bord ship though..

Is anyone else in this situation?
