Well, the shoppings done for another week and the bills are paid, that leaves me 90 minutes to relax before lunch.. I was hoping it'd be fine today so I could sit outside with a laptop, sadly it's dull and we have misty rain coming in so I'm indoors to stay for the rest of the day sadly, at least it's reasonably warm today, hopefully Australia gets more tain, minus the storm and hail stones the size of golf balls that hit there yesterday..

I overslept this morning, now I've got a stinking headache from rushing to get mself up and ready for the day, luckily it's a relatively quiet day here today, so hopefully the sore head will come right soom.. We have the sun after about 2 weeks of overcast weather, that'll help lift the spirits..

Well, I found out why no one has koined on our old site last night, it seems there's a problem with the settings over there, I followed the settings there when I set up this site seeing it's the same host, darned if I can see where the problem is though, I'm hoping the prob over there isn't affecting here as well.. I have asked an expert to take a look and let me know, so IF there's a setting done wrong I can correct it here.. I've spent a good 3 hours in the back room checking things and can't see anything wrong, so much for a quiet peaceful day today..

Well, we figured out why no one could sign up and the problem is rectified thanks to some help, so hopefully we'll now see some new members sign up and chat with us, these obscure settings thay are in different places can be a pain, lol, I've got a quiet day now thanks to the help yesterday, once the washings finished anyway..

Well, after all my time sorting a mess on our old home, then correcting things here yesterday our co admin on the old site changed something, I'm not sure what as the admin logs don't say, I now have to physically go through every setting there and find what was changed, it could yake a long time too given there's well in excess of 700 different settings and such to go through one at a time, I was hoping for a nice quiet peaceful day today seeing it's the weekend, thanks a lot Jane.., I can feel a migraine coming on.. I guess I won't be bored today..

The downside to getting a 32 degree day yesterday was the fact it was still 36 degrees at midnight last night, thankfully with it being sunday morning this old fella can take it easy now the chores are done for the day, I may move outside in the shade with a laptop shortly and enjoy the good weather..

After a lot of procrastinating on my part our old home is closed and some of the content now gone from there, no point keeping it seeing we now have this new home, all that's left to do is get this home listed on Nexus and have their flashy Nexus Bar put in here so we can get new members coming over.. Hopefully one of the good helpful staff on Nexus will help sort things as I'm not confident sorting things at present..

Well, the shopping is done for another week, I'm glad I got out a little earlier than usual with it being so hot now.. I made 2 lots of cordial and put it in the fridge last night, so 2 litres of nice cold drinks to help keep hydrated, I find when we get the temperature in to the high 30's like it is at present it's very easy to get dehydrated, I may get another drink shortly..

Another hot day here so there;s a load of both cordial and water in the fridge.. It stayed on 29 degrees overnight last night, I had all the windows open but was still to hot as there wasn't any breeze, it seems we have this weather until at least the end of the week, possibly through to tuesday or wednesay, an air con unit would be really nice about now....

A pity the cars off the road awaiting some parts or I'd go down to the beach today and find a nice shady spot to sit in and go for a few paddles when I got to hot, unfortunately getting the parts is proving difficult, it could be 2 more months before they arrive here by which stage summer will be over. the beach would be really nice with a forecast high of 38 degrees today..

Well, it's blowing a gale here at present which is making me glad I'm not travelling or I'd be blown all over the roads given all the roads in and out of my area end up with a few high spots on the roads, going to Taop or Taihape sees us having an uphill climb of close to 1000 metres before dropping again, it tends to get winfier higher up which can make things dangerous, especially if towing things like caravans or trailers, I'm happy to be stopping home today..

After a 40 degree day yesterday and it still being 32 degrees at 12,30 a.m. this morning there's a lot of us feeling a bit tired this morning and in need of extra strong coffee once we got up, glad I put a good lot of water and cordial in the fridge last night seeing it was 33 degrees 10 minutes ago at 9.00 a.m. Looking at the forecast for the next week it looks like more of this to come, methinks camping at the local beach would be a good idea..

I'm starting to feel sorry for the Aussies again today with all the heat we're getting here, the temperatures here have been in the high 30's for some weeks now, most of our weather comes from Aussie way, so whatever heat we get it'll be a lot higher over there, I believe Brisbane has been getting temperatures in the mid to high 40's while up around Darwin in northern Australia has been 50 plus degrees every day, with the bushfires still out of control in most cases it'll be really hot in the affected areas.. I believe Aussie has water restrictions similar to ours at present, so no using garden hoses to water the gardens or car washes at the service stations or filling the pools, , I think they may be limited on power usage too, if that's the case, no air conditioners running in the houses to help keep cool..

It's a pity we have major water restrictions on at present, we got a balmy 44 degrees yesterday, I could;ve happily sat out in the shade with the garden hose running over me all day.. My spare fan broke down about 10 days ago so I'm still saving my pennies for a new one, it'll be my luck I'll get a new fan and the hot weather will stop, lol..

After two days of temps over 40 degrees a lot of us are getting a bit grumpy, especially with having tight water restrictions too, it was still 32 degrees at 1.00 a.m. this morning which makes getting to sleep hard.. I guess we shouldn't complain to much, winter will be upon s soon enough and we'll be complaining it's to cold.. Mrthinks more cordial is a good plan..

The heat here is getting everyone grumpy now, that is except for the lucky few in air conditioned shops and offices, it was 40 degrees here yesterday and an overnight low of 26 degrees last night so no ones sleeping very well these days, Im almost wondering if winter is better, at least we cam put clothes on to keep warm,there's a limit how much we can take off in this heat though.. Hoping this heat won't last to much longer, I can remember the days when 30 degrees was a hot day here, that only seems like a few years ago..

It looks like it'll be a quiet day here today, something I'll be glad of seeing I've had a busy few weeks trying to get a few things sorted out, just awaiting the paperwork to arrive by snail mail from all that work.. They sat we're getting a forecast high of only 30 degrees today, that's much more bearable than we've had to date, if it stays that low I may sneak a poppa nap after lunch..

Another sunday morning is upon us, I thought of having a sleep in this morning, sadly I woke up just before 5.00 a.m. as usual and couldn't get back to sleep, so ended up getting up at 6.00 a.m. and having a slow quiet start to the day, hopefully now my only expected visitor has gone it'll be a nice quiet uneventful day with a poppa nap after the roast beel lunch..

I was glad I got out for the shopping pretty promptly this morning or the milk would've curddled before I got home, lol.. That's done and been to the chemist to pick up some meds, then paid a couple of bills, now I'm home everything's away and the coffees reheated, so all's right with the world for now..

Oh the joys of living in a village of flats, there's 50 flats where I am, so there's all kind of neighbours here, one of mine is a drunk who makes his own booze, he's the type who wouldn't hurt a fly when he's sober, last night he got home tanked at about midnight and left a shirty note on a visitors car because it was on what he thinks is his exclusive carpark, 15 minutes later and he was back out keying the car, there's a good 15 metres between the carpark and my bathroom window and I could hear the key going down the whole left side of the car without my hearing aids in, no doubt the owners right royally peeved now he's found the damage, if I knew who he was visiting I'd have told him who did it, unfortunately the guy went out while I was in the shower, hopefully I'll see him in the next day or two, in which case I'll have a chat with him and tell him I know who did the damage to his car which is only a few months old..

I've been looking at moving back to the south island for the past month, so that's meant finding out a load of things, including shifting the internet and power, the only thing left to do is see how much it'll cost to get all my furniture etc shifted down, that'll be a job today getting hold of the furniture removal people and getting a quote from them, I may try 2 or 3 companies just to see who's going to give the best service at the best price, there's a few valuable family heirlooms I don't want broken, so seeing who will move yhem the safest will be interesting..

I was just thinking it's past time to get hold of a couple of furniture removal companies and get quotes for moving, I must get on to it today, there's also a bit of paperwork to get done and posted back to the south island, luckily neither job will spoil my lazy day to much, I should still get to have a poppa nap after lunch..
